Hello, I’m Andrew Pfeiffer owner of Pfeiffer Law in Akron, Ohio. One of the areas of practice I receive the most questions and angst over is Probate, specifically Full Administration Probate Estates. This is for several reasons. Probate administrations are long and confusing and can seem to go on forever. We just lost a loved one, and now we’re dealing with asset transfers and beneficiary demands in the wake of this grief.
A Full Administration Probate in Ohio is any estate with over $35,000 in assets. In other words, if one reasonably nice automobile or home/real property is involved in an estate, chances are it will qualify as a full administration which is the largest estate opened in any Ohio Probate Court.
